Changes to the client’s business processes challenged their real estate team to downsize their Berlin office space whilst maintaining a central city location and negotiating a short-term flexible lease. The first task for our team was to design and plan a temporary workspace, including full project management of the dilapidation liabilities for the existing space and relocation programme for this interim workspace. Moving onto the client’s new and permanent office space, we worked with the local Business Unit to develop the full technical, mechanical and workplace design, specification of fixed cost plan. This included a detailed construction programme, design and build, furniture, testing, commissioning and warranties. We then oversaw the final phase of the move, providing project management, cost consultancy, move management support, disposal of surplus items and handover of the office space.
