We are looking for a Technical Services Manager  to support our sales, pre-construction, and delivery across the business.

Candidates must be able to work with both design and  build and traditional contracts across the business. Preferably they are from a trade background with hands on experience in installation and commissioning.

This role involves equally supporting pre-construction and construction teams.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Develop close professional relationship with services consultant / PM / Client IT team
  • To assist on tender process
  • Understand employers’ requirements and consultant specification
  • Producing and reviewing RFI
  • Attending site visits
  • Producing a commissioning programme
  • Producing technical input for the return tender
  • Co-ordinating sub-contractors for a collaborative tender return
  • Reviewing sub-contractors pricing/design returns
  • Attend tender pitch/interviews
  • Recommend subcontractors for the project
  • Updating sub-contractors performance on tender return
  • Introducing new supply chains
  • Review validation report and advise client of findings
  • Review / approve of drawings and technical submissions
  • Review / approve on contractors’ technical method statements
  • Co-ordinate with consultants for document sign-off
  • Chair MEP DTM and associated minutes
  • Monitoring on-site installations / quality
  • Attend commissioning and witnessing, training and handover
  • Attend subcontractor meetings when necessary

We are looking for an Assistant Technical Services Manager  to support our sales, pre-construction, and delivery across the business.

Candidates must be able to work with both design and  build and traditional contracts across the business. Preferably they are from a trade background with hands on experience in installation and commissioning.

This role reports into the Technical Services Manager, with the majority of responsibilities focused on supporting construction.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Develop close professional relationship with AIS tender team
  • To assist on tender process
  • Understand employers’ requirements and consultant specification
  • Producing and reviewing RFI
  • Attending site visit
  • Assisting the TSM with producing a commissioning programme
  • Assisting the TSM with producing technical input for the return tender
  • Co-ordinating sub-contractors for a collaborative tender return
  • Assisting the TSM with reviewing sub-contractors pricing/design returns
  • Updating sub-contractor performance on tender return
  • Review / comment validation reports
  • Review / comment of drawings and technical submissions
  • Review / comment on contractors’ technical method statements
  • Close out any site queries / observation
  • Attend onsite meeting and produce minutes for record
  • Monitoring on-site installations / quality /progress
  • Attend commissioning and witnessing, training and handover.
  • Attend subcontractor meetings when necessary
  • Review / comment on mechanical and electrical operations and maintenance manuals

We are looking for a motivated, focused and skilled Pre-Contracts Professionals at a Senior level to join and support our existing Pre-Contracts team across the AIS Group.

The ideal candidate will have worked in the commercial interiors industry, with an estimating or quantity surveying background and have extensive experience with the analysis of tender documentation and the assessment of the responding strategy required including preliminary budgets, resourcing, risk analysis, value engineering, scheduling and the definition of bid packages.

Strong attention to detail and analytical skills are required, as well as the flexibility to work across a range of different projects.

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Understanding and analysis of tender documentation to interpret the clients brief
  • Develop clear, concise and appropriate cost plans in line with design, sales and subcontractors
  • Liaising with the client, suppliers, engineers, designers and architects to ensure competitive pricing
  • Accurate Cost planning and value engineering to meet client requirements
  • Producing detailed project programmes
  • JCT contract knowledge
  • Experience working with building control and the acquisition of planning approvals and permits
  • Understanding of various construction/fit out methods and appropriate H&S measures
  • Presenting costs and technical plans to clients in pitch environments
