We are currently recruiting for a talented and diverse Graphic Designer capable of working with a range of media to join our team. 

You will be responsible for producing and overseeing creative graphic solutions across both digital and print media to address both marketing and bid documentation requirements that meet our company objectives and assist in creating beautiful pieces of design work to give us a commercial advantage.

We are looking for someone who can create new best practices and ways to digitally present content to elevate our work and brand. 

This is a varied role to support both the pitching and marketing teams so requires a well organised and highly skilled individual. 

Producing pitch documents requires the fast paced generation of creative ideas for layout to suit client branding and be coordinated with proposed design concepts to ultimately produce high quality digital and print presentation. Our winning pitch documents include the creation of bespoke graphics, infographics and graphs, as well as strong layout skills to support our design proposals. 

Working to support the marketing team additional tasks could involve designing printed matter including signage, brochures, white papers and banners, as well as digital designs such as the creation of digital ads, social motion graphics and gifs and simple video editing to accompany all types of online marketing collateral. 

Excellent communication skills and a positive approach to work are essential. This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious individual to apply their creativity to a range of mediums.

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Design and produce high-quality creative content for an evolving and broad range of print and digital mediums (social media, email, advertising, partner campaigns, website and print) either from scratch or taking inspiration from existing brands
  • The creation of print and digital collateral for PQQ’s, tenders, pitches and projects
  • Lead design brainstorm meetings, map out creative goals, and provide design vision at the beginning of pitching projects
  • Work collaboratively across each team involved in the bid process to ensure brand consistency, including aesthetics, visual communication, style and tone are in line with the strategic brand approach of the business
  • Build a strong partnership with the marketing team to deliver impactful solutions to brief that align with the overall objective of the AIS Group
  • Attend regular meetings with project teams to deliver presentations and discuss briefs
  • Provide creative input and advice on a varying range of projects

Desired Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills:

  • 3+ years of professional design experience, either as an in-house designer or at an agency
  • Expert knowledge in Adobe Creative Suite, Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign, Adobe After Effects. HTML experience is desired.
  • A strong understanding of what works visually on social and in animations
  • Experience with print production
  • Excellent layout skills and diligent when creating artwork
  • Asset library management
  • A track record for meeting and exceeding goals within strict timeframes
  • A strong communicator with an enthusiastic, passionate and engaging manner
  • Ability to balance multiple projects on a weekly cycle
  • Ability to fully grasp and quickly adapt to different project objectives

As a Technical Designer with AIS, you will be responsible for producing detailed technical design solutions that should meet both the client and AIS’s objectives and expectations. You will be involved in the whole process from reviewing the clients brief and assisting with the pitch process through to the completion of the project on site. 

Excellent detailed technical knowledge is a must and the ability to really engage with a project, to take on the nuances of the chosen building and align these with the clients and designers requirements are key to a being successful in this role. You will need to be commercially minded and have the ability to design within a budget and to tight time scales.

  • To provide technical drawing support and assistance to the Creative team
  • To liaise with sub-contractors on technical aspects of design concepts in the pitch phase.
  • To liaise with sub-contractors to further develop technical aspects of design concepts in the design development phase.
  • To develop detailed project drawing packs.
  • To ensure our designs are adhering to building control regulations.
  • To work with the team and ensure successful project implementation
  • To ensure standards are maintained on site
  • To attend sub-contractor and client site meetings when required
  • To gain commercial awareness
  • To keep up-to-date with latest products and techniques to ensure we are making the best recommendations to our clients.

Primary Job Functions:
Typical Project sizes £50-£500k

  • Visiting clients and comping up with functional, timely furniture solutions
  • Working closely with design & build teams to specify furniture in line with designs, brief and budget
  • Producing detailed cost plans
  • Contributing to pitch documents and ideas
  • Pitching proposals to clients
  • Arranging showroom tours with clients to view products
  • Co-ordinating delivery of products to site

Experience & Requirements

  • At least two years in the furniture industry
