What we do
Combining our three core specialisms with cross sector experience from a world-class team, we transform businesses through the built environment and enhance the way people work.
International sports betting and gaming giant Entain were literally bursting at the seams in their Gibraltar office when they appointed us to bring their new brand and ethos to life and create a better working environment for their busy team.
Having recently rebranded their new workplace expansion needed to bring the new Entain personality and culture to life while creating a more socially connected and immersive brand experience for staff.
AIS were challenged to design a workspace exploring alternative ways of working to reduce the total number of workstations and release space to create informal collaborative zones with alternative working zones.
We worked closely with the Entain marketing team and end users to re-invigorate their existing space. As the brand Entain was still being finalised as we began the project, it continued to grow and transform over the project period and naturally the design did too. Eager to ensure the correct look and feel was captured, we worked in close collaboration with the clients branding consultants.
The design proposed a modern working environment with a balance between traditional workstations and alternative working areas. Adopting more modern ways of working, a greater emphasis was placed on team areas as opposed to the individual workspace.
Visually the design elements from the company’s branding create an immersive experience that brings staff closer to their new identity, including a new reception area where colours, feature lighting, furniture and accessories are curated in angular forms to suit the new brand identity.
The scope of the design addressed the major HVAC issues, created new collaboration, welfare and working zones, refurbished the finishes, introduced new lighting and feature lighting and provided new workplace furniture
As the building was 80% occupied the project required detailed and precise planning. A rolling refurbishment programme was planned over a six-month period. Early consultation on this ‘move programme’ meant that we were better able to appreciate that the physical people, computer and desk moves were of pivotal importance as each person had different end user requirements. We completed each move successfully with minimal down-time for each end user.
