We’re thrilled to share the results of our recent Cat A+ fit-out project in the Netherlands. This Amsterdam-based project focused on giving a contemporary refresh to the building, with the aim of attracting new tenants while retaining current ones. The result? A modern space that perfectly balances functionality and style, meeting the evolving expectations of today’s commercial real estate market. 

Understanding the Cat A+ Advantage 

Unlike traditional Cat A fit-outs that offer a blank slate, Cat A+ fit-outs create fully functional spaces with minimal input required from tenants. This “plug-and-play” approach appeals to businesses seeking a quick relocation while providing the flexibility to personalise their space as needed. The Transformation 

We started with a tired, partitioned office that felt closed-off and dated. The redesign focused on creating an open, bright, and airy environment: 

Before: Enclosed spaces with outdated partitions, muted colours, and limited natural flow. 

After: A fresh, modern look featuring open layouts, new flooring, and a fresh coat of paint to brighten the atmosphere. The entrance was revamped to deliver a positive first impression, setting the tone for visitors and tenants the moment they walk through the door. 

This transformation highlights the power of thoughtful design, where every detail—from clean lines to warm, inviting colours—supports the goal of creating an engaging and functional space. 

Collaborative Success 

One of the unique advantages AIS brought to the project was our close proximity to the site. With our team just minutes away, we were able to provide hands-on support throughout the process, quickly resolving any on-site challenges and ensuring smooth coordination with both the landlord and the architect. The architect’s modern, almost artistic approach brought a bold design that fused aesthetic appeal with everyday practicality, creating a workspace that fosters productivity and a sense of community.
