The project is a collaboration over a shared passion for people-first design, a collaboration between AIS and XLB Property that has resulted in a vibrant and forward thinking workspace environment for the Staines workforce.
Embracing the value of first impressions we created an impressive building reception area that is open and collaborative and finished in an energetic and fresh palette.
Upon entry visitors are first greeted with a sleek, curved reception desk setting the standard for the rest of the building. The space then expands into a cafe-style seating area fit with tea point and a variety of relaxed seating for both socialising, meetings, collaborative and independent work.
In designing the workspace to be people centric, a natural emphasis was placed upon breakout and communal spaces. Banquet seating in break out areas offers a casual and more relaxed atmosphere for breaks and adhoc meetings to take place. There is a communal business lounge encouraging co-working and informal meetings further injecting a sense of life into the building.
Suspended shelving above tea points and breakfast bars help to add to the intimate environment of these spaces, making staff feel welcome and at ease in their workspace. Pops of colour colours and biophilia, whether entwined between shelving units, hanging from ceilings or used as partitions to break up different working areas, add a energised and vibrant edge to this modern and fresh space.
The vast variety of choices of seating provides a multitude of different ways to work for a diverse team. Organising your working day dependent on tasks and space needs is easy with the choice of larger desking areas, relaxed sofa seating and both small and larger collaborative tables.
As is the norm, our process from design through to completion on site was energetic and collaborative working in close partnership with the commercial asset experts at XLB Property to deliver a focussed and effective property solution.
