Iron Mountain had outgrown its previous spaces and required a single office that would foster connectivity between its staff, while improving the work conditions for its’ team and provide a bright and inviting space where people can enjoy coming to work.
Community driven space designing in engagement
Iron Mountain is a global business providing information management solutions. We worked with the clients project team and architects Stantec to help develop a fresh and bright new workplace concept, creating a community-driven work environment that made the best of an abundance of natural light to deliver a fresh and engaging workspace. The motivation of the Iron Mountain team was our ultimate end goal. Their new workspace presents as confident and capable, while providing the business with room to grow and continue expanding into the future.
Catering for growing talent
Through intelligent space planning different pockets of space have been created to provide staff with options to choose from a variety of different work spaces, allowing them to get up and work away from their desks when required. Each pocket of space is broken up with work areas and a central community space, creating opportunities to focus, collaborate, or socialise.
As the team grows, providing ample meeting space was crucial. While various sized meeting rooms cater for more formal get-togethers, agile work space supports impromptu meetings, giving the team extra flexibility and drawing staff together to create a more connected team feeling.
Shaping contemporary ideas through fresh interior design
To support diversity in the way people work most effectively, the interior design for the workstation areas is neutral and muted to create a sense of calm when focused, task-based work is required. Biophilia and natural finishes then elevate Iron Mountain’s new workspace to create a tranquil hub for their team. Preserved moss feature walls create instant impact and give the space an injection of life, while juxtaposed finishes of natural timbers and cool colours balance the space and create a serene office environment ready to facilitate inspired working.
