Following our statements last year, it goes without saying that the health, safety and well-being of our team, extended networks and the communities we work in remains the first priority of our business.
As we continue to remain active throughout the pandemic we remain dedicated to a coordinated approach in prioritising and enforcing current health and safety measures that ensure we are protecting our workforce and minimising the risk of spread of infection.
The most important thing we can do to is ensure that our sites and offices provide clean and safe working environments. We have updated protocols and project controls in place that are in line with government recommendations to ensure this and we are dedicated to remaining nimble in delivering safe workplaces and construction sites.
We continue to keep close relationships with our project partners, continually and proactively monitoring supply chains, particularly those which are critical to project delivery, ensuring project programmes are recurrently reviewed and resilient, with appropriate contingency planning in place.
As a business we continue to proactively address fatigue and mental wellbeing. After many months of unprecedented change and stress, we recognise that teams across our business may be feeling fatigued and in recognising this we have introduced a number of mental health care initiatives, including extending free mental health care services to all of our staff.
Recognising the importance of predictability during these turbulent times, we have invested in a number of innovative delivery solutions including modelling tools and other construction technologies that will help us to reduce programme times and improve productivity, allowing fewer people on site to reduce safety risks.
This period has been one of great learning for the business, and although it is not without contest, throughout the pandemic we continue to re-evaluate and transform our processes and make way for methods that are more fine-tuned to safety and wellbeing.
