Pinebridge

To support the Pinebridge team’s collaborative style of working we created a modern and professional workplace where staff would enjoy working and socialising together. Due to rapid growth of the company, the team relocated into a new building on Bedford Avenue allowing them to put their own stamp on a new space.

Größe

  • Medium (11,404 sq. ft)

Standort

  • London

As a global asset management company, Pinebridge bring together their collective expertise in each region of the world. Working through an open culture of collaboration from their network of global workplace and infrastructure to bring together the best ideas.

We worked closely with the Pinebridge team to gain a deep understanding of what they wanted and needed from their new workplace.

Working with the existing space

The building has the advantage of having a lot of access to natural light. With floor to ceiling windows spanning a majority of the exterior of the building. This allows for an abundance of light to pour in. Particularly where we positioned a large portion of the desking areas, creating a bright and open feel to the space.

We worked around this mapping out areas and meeting rooms fit for the Pinebridge team and their way of working. This included a variety of sized meeting rooms, a large central kitchen and break out hub, as well as phone booths and small private offices.

Central social hub

Centre of the original floor plate was a large staircase which we removed to make way for a social break out hub. This creates the centre point of the office for staff to gather, take breaks and socialise. The space is fit with kitchen, breakfast bar, large communal table and booths. Meaning the space can be used for both break-out and meetings.

Embracing new ways of working

In recent years, the team have embraced and taken on new ways of working. Embracing a more fluid style of work and less time spent at fixed desks. It was therefore essential for the executive team to present staff with opportunities within the office environment to support flexible working.

In order to support their changing working patterns we implemented features to suit their particular needs. These included smaller bookable offices, assigned and unassigned workstations for different teams, a wellness room and plenty of collaborative spaces such as booths, a social hub and larger conference rooms for all in get togethers.

Front of house

We created one large reception and front of house space to be used by both clients and staff. This included a large reception desk and lounge waiting area fit with small tea point.

The meeting rooms within the front of house client space have been assigned to be used for formal client meetings, interviews with potential new hires etc. This means that clients and visitors don’t have to walk through the staff working space when visiting the office.

Making the workplace their own

We used different methods to embody the Pinebridge culture and values. For example, meetings rooms are named after tube stations across London. Another example is using brand colours, different types of flooring and ceiling materials to subtly involve the corporate colours. These features are all aligned with the practical requirements for the office which needed to contain good acoustic space for work in meeting rooms and open areas. The incorporation of biophilia helped to bring the outdoors inside, brightening the space whilst also giving it a calming ambience.

Working with the existing fit out we created a new space that fit the client’s vision and requirements to create the ultimate workplace for their team. You can learn about our other projects here!
