The new certificate provides effective and usable guidance for improving worker safety and sets a process for improving work safety in global supply chains. This new International Standard is expected to reduce workplace injuries and illnesses around the world.
The ISO 45001:2018 certification was released to replace the Occupational Health and Safety Standard 18001:2017. While there is a 3 year migration period for organisations to make the relevant changes in order to gain the new certificate, AIS made the transition within 9 short months of it being released.
“Moving to ISO 45001:2018 is a great achievement for the AIS team, and one that puts us at the forefront of workplace design both in London and internationally. We consider health and safety to be at the core of our all our business activity and we recognise that without achieving excellence in health and safety performance we cannot hope to achieve our commercial goals.” Gerry Graville, Managing Director.
